I was so sorry to hear of Jake’s passing. My mother, Ruth Hammond Christensen was good friends with Jake during World War ll. They both were stationed in the Philippine Islands together. She was the personal secretary to various Generals and Colonels. She wrote her experiences down and I am compiling them into a book.
