Lynn and I were fellow grad students at U of Iowa. I have his Siphastacia print of a macacque ape. I was also a friend of his advisor Mauricio Lasansky. I recall he did a tryptich of Herod and the head of John the Baptist. Do you still have it? I spoke by telephone with him several years ago. He was a sweet and good guy. Stan Yalof (age 94)
Is this the Lynn Schroeder I knew at the U of Iowa, a gifted student of Prof. Lasansky? I have one of his prints, Siphastacia's Admirer. I was a friend. I recall a painting done by him in the old style of Jezabel with a severed head?

Lynn was the first art teacher I had at the U of A, beginning drawing, summer 1969. He was a good teacher, but way beyond that, he gave me several pieces of advice that were LIFE CHANGING. Thank you Lynn!!!

Such a wonderful soul has returned to the stars, and now will shine from afar. So sorry for the Schroeder/Pitt families for their loss. My heart goes out to you.
Schroeder (we students called him) was a wonderful printmaking instructor. Loved, trusted and respected him with all my heart. At a time when only students working on their masters degree were issued a key to the Art building to work after hours, he saw to it that I had one. A quiet, gentle teacher that helped may of us find our printmaking voice and helped to improve our technical skills. The world became a better place when he came into it. <3
