I was a caregiver for Marda for two years in her Memory Care Unit in Madison. Working in such a unit can be very stressful and hard to deal with but Marda was one of the few residents that made it easier to get through the day. Seeing her over 40 hours a week, she became like an extra-grandmother to me and made me smile everytime she requested I do her cares for the day. I never knew her when she had full cognitive function but she was still in there; the sarcastic, flirty, fun-loving Marda was the highlight of my time at her facility. She changed my outlook on life forever and I am a better man for having known her. I am so sorry to entire family and I am sorry for all of us as a whole to have lost such a force for good in this world. Love you Marda. RIP
