My grandma, Gladys Powers, was a good friend of Peggy's. They were both true ladies, and so kind and gentle...yet strong, too, and able to endure a lot of what life presented. They both wanted to make sure that John and I met when they realized we were both entering the Peace Corps at the same time, same place. Indeed we met, and a long friendship has been appreciated all these years. I am sad to recently learn of Peggy's passing and can only hope that perhaps, she'll be in the company of beloved family that's preceded her in addition to friends such as my gram. I will keep her, like others, deep in my heart and hope that John, his siblings and the entire family are doing as okay as possible in light of beautiful Peggy's absence.

Dear Marj and Helen, my deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mother. Despite the fact that she has been on this journey for a long time, it is just different when they move to the other dimension. I believe that death is merely another state of being. Not a state we understand clearly. Our loved ones are in our hearts, in our homes, and in many odd places occasionally.

I love the portrait you chose. So young, so vibrant, so composed, so beautiful. And that she will always be for all of you.

Dear Ross family, Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. It seems no greater sadness is felt than when someone so dear to us is loss. May you find comfort in your memories and draw strength from a promise God has provided which gives the hope of someday being reunited with your beloved (John 5:28,29). This promised future is one that will be filled with great joy because it will include perfect health and everlasting life on a paradise earth where "the former things have passed away" (Rev. 21:4, Psalms 37:29). May you during this most difficult time find some comfort in knowing that God does care and He does hear our cries. Please accept my most sincere condolences.
