I coached at Canyon View Little league for 2 seasons with Phil. Phil really enjoyed coaching it was a great outlet for him. My son and I miss Phil very much. But will will always have these great memories of coaching little league.

I just heard the news. Phil was my section lead at Raytheon and friend. I learnt about his cancer a day after he was diagnosed with it. I came back to Tucson from California and went to lunch with him. Right when Covid hit I called him and asked him how he was doing and he was cheerful and happy. We discussed how we were going to rule the world. Goodbye my friend. I will never forget you.

I will always have fond memories of Phil -- both professionally and personally. We worked together for many years at Meggitt, sharing many successes and challenges along the way.
Although I had only met his kids once or twice, Phil talked so much about them that I felt I knew them closely. I am sure the kids will grow up with the same integrity, kindness and intelligence as Phil.
Phil and I shared fun times watching Big10 football/basketball at Fini's, bar-crawling through Montreal, and even going to an Iron Maiden concert last year (attached is a photo with Phil at a restaurant before the concert).

I meet Phil while working at Teradyne in the mid 90’s. We had some good times through that decade. Phil could be kind of picky and perhaps too serious at times but was very witty and sure had a great sense of humor too. Phil hosted by bachelor party – a great time for all! We didn’t really keep in touch that frequently after the turn of the century, so it was bitter sweet to hear from him a few years back when he called and told me right off: I just wanted to let you know that you should live each day like it might be your last – that’s the way he let me know that he’d been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I was so glad I was able to get out there to see him a few months later, meet a few of his boys, and have one more really good time with him while he was still holding up well. He was so strong and positive throughout. He shared more thoughts and words of wisdom with/for me while he was going through all that – I’m grateful. Thanks Phil. Go Purdue. Rest in Peace my friend. Thoughts, prayers, and the very best of wishes for Tracy and the boys.

Our family passes along our sympathies. We first met you guys at Mehl Park where our boys played little league baseball together. Phil loved watching his boys enjoy and excel at the sport. How someone faces adversity defines his character and he fought cancer as bravely as I've ever seen anyone fight it. We had several of our best conversations after his diagnosis, and I appreciated his intellect, humor, and wit in facing his future and reflecting on his past. I remember him laughing about wanting to buy an ATV for the boys because he knew it was dangerous but also knew it would bring them great joy. He knew his prognosis was bad but he was fiercely focused on getting the best care so that he could maximize his time with his family.
We know you miss him, and we do too.
