I have so many memories of my Uncle Bud! He and Dad taking me fishing, catching turtles, frogging and squirrel or rabbit hunting! Not very girly things but I loved it. Once our families were swimming at a gravel pit and who drags me under by my legs but Uncle Bud - I never did like swimming after that! Larry has some funny memories of the guys corn gathering adventures too! Uncle Bud and his wise cracking sense of humour was unbelievable! Must have gotten some of that from Grandma Liz because she came out with some crazy ones to. Where did they come up with these things? Last time he and Aunt Barb visited he took home some of our trees black walnuts because they reminded him of home - Anchor. I think of that each year as the yard fills with them! Last fall our trip to AZ he and Aunt Barb were ever the hosts taking us to see all the types of cactus and into the mountains. I still have the tiny cactus I bought in that store - have not over watered it yet! The cookout with the whole family was fantastic and spending the rest of the time just catching up over a few beers will always be a special time to hold dear. My heart aches for all of you and know that nothing will ever fill the void of losing him. Hang on to all of the wonderful memories and the years together! Love and prayers to all. Love you - Sue & Larry and our entire family.

The thing I remember about Bub....he always had a big smile..like he knew something or was ready with a joke or just a smart remark. RIP Bud Mabel
There are so many memories. Hunting pheasants in Anchor/Colfax area, going for a drink afterwards and watching Dick Smith lying in the middle of the dance floor-too much beer I guess. Gamble quail hunting in Tucson. Just coming out in the winter and picking the fresh oranges and grapefruit from the trees. Planting a tree in the back yard using beer boxes in the bottom of the hole to stimulate growth-last time I looked at that tree, I think the plan worked! Enjoying just visiting with Barb, "The Girls" and their husbands and families. We feel so lucky to know all of them. It is not many people who can say they know their friends children, in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We know all of them because they always came around when we came out. We love you all.

To the best friend and fishing buddy a guy could ever have. You will be dearly missed but for the years of memories I have to hangon to. You were always a part of my family.
Peace be with you.
