Sandra J. Moyer's Obituary
Sandy Moyer, 76, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, peacefully went on to be with her Lord on August 12, 2020, in Tucson, Arizona. Her husband, Tilghman III of 53 years and son, Tilghman IV, were by her side. She will greatly be missed by her Daughter-in-law, Kimberly, sister, Cynthia Wukitsch and husband, Chip, of the Lehigh Valley and Las Vegas, Sister-in-law Patricia Campalongo and husband, Larry, who reside in State College, PA and two grandchildren who she was very proud of, Veronica and Tilghman V living in Philadelphia. Many nephews, located across the country, will miss their Aunt Sandy.
Born in Allentown, PA, Sandy graduated from William Allen High School and Rider College (University). She is predeceased by her loving parents, Harold and Helen Miller.
Sandy loved to knit and made countless prayer shoals for her church and friends. She also knitted 100’s of newborn caps that were sent across the country – this gave her a great sense of pride. Sandy was a passionate Mah Jongg player and was a fantastic Christmas cookie baker. She enjoyed making her nut tossie and rollout cookies for family and friends. Sandy had a green thumb especially when it came to her beloved violets – some that made the journey with them from California to Ohio to Pennsylvania to Rhode Island back to Pennsylvania to Florida and finally Arizona. In recent years, she and Til traveled the world with their good friends Rod and Linda Denslow of Florida.
Please consider remembering Sandy by supporting the Community Church of Fruitland Park, Florida -- the church that greatly impacted her and Til’s spiritual life during their time in Florida and continued to do so when they moved to Arizona. Gifts can be made at http://www.communityumc.church/give. Thank you.
A grave side memorial service will be held September 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery in Allentown, PA.
