Steven Craig Weinstein's Obituary
Steven Craig Weinstein, 67, of Tucson, Arizona, was called to the afterlife on December 28, 2022 after a brief illness. Steven’s work here is done.
He was a devoted and much-loved father, husband, brother, friend, lawyer, and a former judge pro tempore for the Pima County Superior Court. Steven was a man of varied interests and many accomplishments: an avid outdoorsman, athlete, an off-road motorcycle racing champion with both SCORE International and the American Desert Racing Association, a champion fisherman, an expert hunter, a master BBQ cook, and a hands-on philanthropist who worked in many organizations including the Active 20-30 Club of Tucson, Catalina Council Cub Scouts, and the March of Dimes.
Despite Steven's many roles and accomplishments, his most cherished role was that of being a father. He changed his life for his sons and he loved nothing more than being there for them, and preparing them for their lives ahead.
Steven is survived by his wife Joann, sons Tyler and Jacob, sister Carrie, and too many friends to name. You all know who you are.
The family will hold a grave-side service on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Anshei Israel Section, 3015 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, Arizona 85705.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Steven's name to the Sahuaro Cougar Foundation, P. O. Box 18181, Tucson, Arizona 85731, or to your favorite charity. Yehi zichra baruch: may Steven’s memory be a blessing.
